Ebell Art Reception: A Family Affaire | May 26
- This event has passed.
Thursday, May 26, 2022 — 5:00 pm
Join us for our Art Salon Opening Reception of A Family Affaire, a father-daughter exhibition of art works by actor/athlete Michael Warren and Koa Warren
Our first art exhibition since the pandemic will be brilliant and upbeat, with vivid color bouncing off the walls, so to speak, in two distinct yet complementary abstract styles. Michael Warren brings his artistic photography inspired by nature to The Ebell while his daughter Koa is showing her unique style of painting without brushes. Her secret: water balloons.
You may remember Michael Warren as Officer Bobby Hill from the Hill Street Blues TV series which won him a NAACP Image Award and an Emmy nomination. Or perhaps you knew him as a legendary basketball player who captained two successive NCAA championships. Now he steps beyond his actor and athlete roles to artistic recognition along with his creative oldest daughter, Koa. She works in many media. While teaching children, she came up with this fascinating painting method she has been exploring for the past ten years.
The show will hang until Monday, June 27. Come and meet both of our artists at the opening reception and enjoy live music along with the art. All pieces are available for purchase.
