Dear Ebell Members and Friends,

My term as president has come to an end.  I’d like to take a moment to reflect on the journey we have shared during the past two years.  It has been a true honor and privilege to serve this remarkable organization, and I am deeply grateful for the support, camaraderie, and dedication of every one of you.

Over the past two years, we have accomplished much together. We have revived and upheld our cherished traditions while embracing the need for change, exploring opportunities for growth, and driving innovation. From our inspiring and growing programs and partnerships to our community outreach and philanthropic endeavors, we have made and continue to make a lasting impact both within our organization and in the broader community.

I am particularly proud of how, with tenacity, resilience and grace, we have faced the challenges of a mandatory seismic retrofit and the corollary organizational changes. Our collective spirit and unwavering commitment have been the cornerstones of our success.  This spirit, like that of our foremothers, will continue to drive our success well into the future.

As I step down, I am excited to welcome our incoming president, Randi Jones, and our new board members, who bring a broad range of experiences, diverse perspectives and passion to drive our mission. I have full confidence in our leadership and vision for The Ebell’s future.

Thank you for entrusting me with the responsibility of leading this extraordinary institution. I look forward to remaining an active member and supporting The Ebell in all its future endeavors. Let us continue to uphold our legacy of empowerment, culture, education, service, preservation, and friendship, as we look forward to a bright future ahead.

With heartfelt gratitude,

Laurie Schechter
