Step into the musical world of Jill Sobule at The Ebell of Los Angeles. A visionary artist who isn’t just another singer-songwriter with catchy tunes and smart lyrics, Jill is one of the more insightful satirists of our age. Each of her fanciful songs captures an issue or irony, an emotion or epiphany that helps us understand what it’s like to live now.
“Jill Sobule can claim her place among the stellar New York singer-songwriters of the last decade. Topical, funny and more than a little poignant …grown up music for an adolescent age” John Pareles, New York Times.
With over 10 albums exploring themes from social justice to personal growth, Jill Sobule’s music is at once deeply personal and socially conscious, seriously funny, and derisively tragic. From early hits like “Supermodel” featured in Clueless to the groundbreaking 1995 anthem “I Kissed a Girl,” Jill has continually pushed boundaries in the music industry. Her latest triumph, the autobiographical musical F#ck 7th Grade, debuted off-Broadway in Fall 2022 and returns this fall at the Wild Project in the East Village.
