Monday, June 6, 2022 — 11:30 am

The Rest Cottage Association cordially invites you to attend our annual luncheon honoring the 2022 RCA grant recipients.

“Planting the Seeds of Kindness”
A celebration of what kindness to others can achieve
RCA helping the LA community through grants and volunteerism

The Rest Cottage Association (RCA) is the oldest philanthropic organization operating within the Ebell of Los Angeles. This will be your opportunity to meet and honor representatives of this year’s 16 RCA grantee organizations who share our mission and work continually to achieve it. Ebell members will have a chance to show their appreciation for all the outstanding work they do and representatives from three of the charities will share their stories.

Norayma Cabot, Executive Director of first-time grantee, LA Center for Law and Justice, will speak about their holistic, client-centered approach to helping survivors of assault. They meet all their clients’ needs, including legal and police-related issues.

Nancy Allen, Executive Director of a returning grantee, WeSPARK Cancer Support Center (and an Ebell member), will speak about the wide range of services they offer. These include nutritional and crisis counseling, alternative healing, online support groups, online yoga/mindfulness, and community resources.

We also are honored to have Lorraine Morland with us, a former client of another returning grantee, the Good Shepherd Center for Women and Children/Farley House. She will share with us her experiences and explain how the Good Shepherd Center paved the way to a new life.
