Chorale returns to the campus with Holiday Concert and High Tea!

from Jane Martin, Ebell Chorale

November 22, 2022

Welcome, kind friends.

Once again we join together to celebrate the holiday season with a concert on Monday, December 12 at 2.00 pm. The warmth of the Art Salon will reverberate with the joyful sounds of the Ebell Chorale.

The program consists of old and modern music, as well as some African and other non-traditional compositions. We’ll be accompanied by a string quartet of USC students, a pianist and a percussionist.

It’s a program planned to bring to you the festive sounds of the holidays.  You’ll join us on the sing-alongs, of course!

And lastly, our elegant High Tea.  No one can do this as well as The Ebell. Lavishly laid out in the Lounge, it features tea sandwiches, little finger sweets, tea, and champagne.  What a great way to celebrate with your Ebell friends during the holiday season!

Yu Hang Tan

Our new conductor is Yu Hang Tan. Yu Hang is in his third year earning his Doctor of Musical Arts in Choral Music at the Thornton School of Music at USC.  Originally from Malaysia, he spent many years in Canada prior to coming to the US.  He is also an excellent pianist.  And his experience and enthusiasm shows through every note we sing.
