Adapted from Fey’s 2004 blockbuster film and the Broadway smash hit, Opening Night Theater brings Mean Girls JR. to the Wilshire Ebell stage with the students of GALA!

Cady Heron may have grown up on an African savanna, but nothing prepared her for the wild and vicious ways of her strange new home: suburban Illinois. How will this naïve newbie rise to the top of the popularity pecking order? By taking on The Plastics, a trio of lionized frenemies led by the charming but ruthless Regina George. Cady and her friends devise a “Revenge Party” to end Regina’s reign with Cady going undercover as an aspiring Plastic. When the lines between the real Cady and her Plastic self get blurred, she must find her way back to herself and her true friends.

Our cast consists of middle/high school students from the Girls Academic Leadership Academy, in addition to our student-run crew.

Audience members are encouraged to wear pink. Because on show days, we wear pink!

Show runtime: Approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes with one 15-minute intermission.

• Doors will open 20 minutes prior to the start of the show.
• Seating is on a first come, first serve basis. Only cast, crew, and additional staff will be permitted inside the theatre prior to doors opening.
• Food & drink are not permitted inside the theatre.
• Masks are strongly recommended inside the venue.
• No food or drink will be permitted inside the theatre.
