Ballet in the Sky… Life as a wingwalker with Margaret Stivers | May 29

Imagine dancing on the wind, performing aerobatic feats on the wings of a bi-plane. Now imagine doing it over 1,000 times. Margaret’s story is one of daring and dreaming, as she competed and performed as one of the world’s most accomplished wingwalkers for 22 years. First came her pilot’s license, then once she stepped out onto the wings, she never stopped, first working in airshows then in TV and film work, often with stunts so unique no one else could do them.

We will hear about her career as one of the first female aerial stuntwomen, the romance that was born in the air and how she and her literal “knight in shining armor” created the Silver Wings Wingwalker Team. Margaret will tell of the origins of female wingwalkers as she shows both historic and dramatically beautiful images to take our own breath away!
