Field Trip: Tournament House, Home of the Rose Parade | July 18
Thursday, July 18, 2024 — 2:00 pm
Join us for a docent-led tour of the 1906 3-story, 21-room Wrigley Mansion in Pasadena, now the official headquarters of the Tournament of Roses Association. We will see mementos of all the festivities that revolve around the annual Rose Parade and the Rose Bowl Game. Only accessible to the public for certain times in the summer, the beautifully appointed home is on “Millionaire’s Row”, where the parade initiates each New Year’s Eve. The stunning rooms showcase many artifacts and Parade and Game traditions, including crowns of the queens and their courts and the “signature” foil wallpaper of the Wrigley family. Following the tour, or prior to it, you are free to take in the Wrigley Gardens with 1,500 varieties of roses surrounding the home.
