Field Trip: The Historic Hotel Figueroa

Join us for a visit to the newly renovated Hotel Figueroa, renowned for its substance and for its style. Hotel Figueroa boasts a rich history deeply rooted in the women’s movement in Los Angeles. The hotel was funded by women for women in 1926 as a safe haven for solo female travelers, who were prohibited from checking into most hotels without a male chaperone. The renovation, completed in 2018, reflects Figueroa’s feminist history, with artwork from local female artists on the walls and common spaces designed to host women-centric “salons.”

Lunch at the hotel’s elegant restaurant will follow our tour.

$40 member / $50 nonmember (includes tour and lunch)
Limited to 20 attendees.
Tour begins at 11:00 am.  There will be a mid-day break for lunch onsite.
Cancellations must be received 24 hours prior to an event to avoid billing.
