Live in the Lounge: In Her Key, Women’s Voices of Broadway | May 1
Wednesday, May 1, 2024 — 7:30 pm
Broadway has brought us unforgettable characters like Elphaba, Christine, Maria, and Angelica, but behind these iconic roles are the visionary women who created them. Join us for a musical performance as we honor the master works of female composers, lyricists, directors, and playwrights of Musical Theatre who have shaped the stories and songs that have touched our hearts.
Featuring Thornton’s talented vocal students, curated by Karen Parks, Associate Professor for Musical Theatre, Vocal Arts, and Opera at USC Thornton School of Music, and CEO and Director of Stagebound, Inc., In Her Key, explores the challenges and complexities of women on Broadway. This is a partnership between NATS-LA and The Ebell of Los Angeles.
