In celebration of National Women’s History Month, The Ebell of Los Angeles will be sponsoring and hosting a juried art exhibit titled “A Woman’s Place.” All accepted artworks will be included in a show at The Ebell of Los Angeles from March 21 through April 30, 2024 with an Opening Reception to be held on Thursday, March 21 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.

Artists are invited to submit their artwork by the extended deadline of February 14, 2024. A panel of judges from the Los Angeles arts scene will review the submission(s) and select between 40-60 pieces to be displayed in The Art Salon and adjacent hallway. The winning artist will receive a one-year membership to The Ebell of Los Angeles.

Judges include: Shana Nys Dambrot, Arts Editor for L.A. Weekly; Taylor Bythewood-Porter, Independent Curator and former Assistant Curator at the California American Art Museum (CAAM); and Amy Scott, Executive Vice President of Research and Interpretation and Marilyn B. and Calvin B. Gross Curator of Visual Arts at The Autry Museum.  

Entries are open to all persons living and working in Los Angeles County. The submission period is now open and ends on February 14, 2024 (extended date). The fee to enter is $20. Artists are welcome to submit up to three entries, sized no larger than 26” x 30” when framed.  All chosen artists will have the opportunity to offer their exhibiting pieces for sale during the show.
