We’ll find out how Beverley turned family storytelling into two popular books, with a third on the way.

books covers of "It's of No Consequence" and "Rightfully Hers" by Beverley ClarksonMany of us dream of publishing the compelling story that swims and dances in our heads. When Beverley retired from her 40-year career as teacher, school administrator and then director of schools, she pursued her lifelong passion for writing. And she got published… not once, but twice. The first book, It’s of No Consequence, follows three generations of women in her family beginning in 1920s Jamaica, tracing their stories from privilege and love to abandonment and deprivation. The second, Rightfully Hers, is her mother’s heart-wrenching story based on her own journal entries. She is completing her trilogy now, with Hold on Kids. We’ll let her tell you about that.
