Learn Charcoal Portraiture From a California Art Club Pro | October 24

Ebell members and guests will join with talented California Art Club members for a late afternoon lesson with instructor Julia Maddalina, an internationally recognized portrait artist and fantasy illustrator. She will demonstrate working in charcoal to create traditional portraits. We’ll see her techniques as she lays in the structure of the drawing’s subject followed by the finer details.

We are thrilled to welcome this legendary organization, one of the oldest, largest and most active art clubs in the country, to share their skills at The Ebell. If you attended our Community Open House on September 24th, you’ve seen some of this group’s artists in action. Watching the artistic process is mesmerizing! Now we get to learn firsthand ourselves.
