Makers’ Circle Series | April 20

Saturday, April 20, 2024 — 10:00 am

Are you ready for the Kentucky Derby? Channel your inner Mad Hatter, and join us for a morning of whimsical hat trimming. Bring along a hat and express your creative side while decorating your own one-of-a-kind chapeau! We’ll be adding ribbons, feathers, beads, and baubles — maybe even a horse or two. Go big and go to the races… or at least to May’s Kentucky Derby themed Confab when we will run for the roses in our very own fantastical hand-decorated hat!

You’ll need to bring an unadorned hat or fascinator! Please also bring any special baubles, feathers and flowers, and some craft glue to put it all together.  We’ll make sure to have a few goodies to share as well.

Supplies can be found at Amazon, Oriental Trading Company, Michael’s, Hobby Lobby. Or in downtown Los Angeles at Moskatels (733 San Julian St), Mother Pluckers Feather Company (2511 W 3rd St), and Floral Supply Syndicate (740 Wall St).

As always… you are welcome to bring your own art, craft or needlework projects and enjoy the fellowship. If you do not have a hat to do this month’s group project, we will have supplies from the March group project on hand.
