Mom:2021 posterMember Laura Huntt Foti is a contributing writer in a show that will be performed live on Zoom over Mother’s Day weekend, in aid of the Neo Ensemble Theatre, who are raising funds to cover their operating expenses and build toward a return to in-person productions.

Laura’s is one of ten original pieces, monologues and scenes, comedies and dramas in Mom, a production written, directed and performed by members of Neo, exploring what it means to have and be a mom.  Laura, whose own piece is entitled My Mother Now, says: “My favorite piece (except my own, of course) is called Oy Vey, Maria, and is about Mary’s mother visiting her daughter and new grandchild in the manger.”

Mom will be performed live on Zoom on Friday, May 7, at 7.00 p.m. and on Saturday, May 8 at 4.oo p.m. The show is a “pay-what-you-can”.   To get the link, go to www.neoensembletheatre.org and click the button at top right that says “Donate to Mom:2021.”

“Neo’s productions are always informed by a rich, sunny humanity, without cynicism or bitterness.” L.A. Weekly
