On Monday, September 20 at 12.00 noon (on Zoom) foreign correspondent Greg Dobbs will talk about his fascinating career at the forefront of war zones and international political upheaval, and the current conflict in Afghanistan.  Dobbs was reporting from Afghanistan when the Soviets departed, and has extensive knowledge of the region and its people.  Greg will be taking questions, in particular with regard to the women of Afghanistan and how we might help.

As a decades-long foreign correspondent for two television networks, mostly ABC News, Greg Dobbs covered countless international crises across the globe, from Afghanistan to South Africa, from Iran to Egypt, from the Soviet Union to Saudi Arabia, from Vietnam to Venezuela, from Panama to Poland.  He also covered presidencies at home and the American space program.  He was a moderator for six years on Rocky Mountain PBS and wrote a book about the life of a foreign correspondent called Life in the Wrong Lane.  After also doing op-ed columns for more than a decade for The Denver Post and a syndicated column for Scripps newspapers, his columns on American politics and foreign affairs now appear at GregDobbs.Substack.com.  Dobbs has won three Emmy Awards and the Society of Professional Journalists’ Distinguished Service Award.
