Many of our RCA nonprofits that receive grants are victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, or are homeless. They do not possess basic hygiene items, such as a toothbrush, toothpaste, or shampoo.

The Social Services Committee (SSC), who are Ambassadors to these grantees, is hosting a major event this October, The Spirit of Giving: Women Supporting Women, to support vulnerable women in Los Angeles by giving them gifts of these basic hygiene necessities.
The SSC is sending out a Signup for members to donate these items. Members will be able to bring or send the items to The Ebell office, up to October 12th. All the information will be on the Signup, with an email and phone number to contact with any questions.
Members will also be able to sign up to volunteer on Saturday, October 14, to help assemble the kits and write personal messages to the recipients. There will be food and good company, so please come and bring your friends, to make this afternoon successful. We hope to be able to give these women as many kits as possible. Please open your hearts and purses, as this is the only time you will be able to help our RCA grant recipients this year. We hope we will see you on October 14, to show how the Ebell contributes to our community, through its philanthropy.
