February President’s Letter

February 20, 2024

Dear Members and Friends,

The month of February is a time traditionally associated with love and appreciation, Galentines, and Valentines.  This year, I am filled with gratitude for each one of you who contributes to the vibrant tapestry of our Ebell community. Your dedication, support, and passion for our organization are the heartbeats that keep us alive and thriving.

As we celebrate Black History Month, let us reflect on the rich contributions and achievements made by African Americans throughout history. The Ebell of Los Angeles is committed to honoring and amplifying diverse voices, and I encourage you to attend the thought-provoking programs we have planned to commemorate this important month.

Looking ahead to March, we eagerly anticipate Women’s History Month, a time to honor the remarkable accomplishments and resilience of women past and present. Our organization stands as a testament to the power of women coming together to effect positive change.  I am continually inspired by the strength and determination of our members.

In planning for the months ahead, the Bylaws vote and our seismic retrofit, I am reminded of the deep love we share for our historic campus, which serves as the physical embodiment of our collective history and values. Let us cherish and preserve this landmark for generations to come, ensuring that it continues to serve as a beacon of inspiration, culture and community for women and for all.

Once again, I want to express my heartfelt appreciation for all of you and the love you bring to our organization. Together, we will continue to uphold the legacy of The Ebell and create a future filled with warmth, inclusivity, and endless opportunity.

With love,

Laurie
