Ebell member Wilma Pinder has been honored this year by the USC Black Alumni Association. Wilma has been granted the Kilgore Service Award for “selfless servant leadership to USC Black students and alumni, exemplifying the vision of BAA founder, Rev. Dr. Thomas Kilgore, Jr.”
As an attorney for 30 years at the Office of the Los Angeles City Attorneys, Wilma became a consummate civil trial lawyer. Post-retirement she was inducted into the Hall of Fame by the Langston Bar and the National Bar Associations. Currently she is LA County Commissioner serving the 2nd District. Wilma has been active on the boards of Half Century Trojans, Town and Gown and Trojan League; she is a member of Trojan Guild and supports the Black Alumni Association. In addition, she serves as Life Member of various local, state and national Bar organizations.
The BAA said: “We are so proud of the inspiring work Wilma has accomplished and are thrilled to see her receiving her due credit.”
