Would You Like to Sponsor a Vintage Ebell Club Film?

One of the projects we are undertaking during the club building closure is the digitization of our collection of old 16mm footage from our Archives. These reels date to the 1950s through 1970s, and previews indicate that they show many fascinating club activities. A first reel was digitized for Los Angeles Home Movie Day. It shows Ebell building settings with elegantly dressed and coiffed members modeling astounding gowns, clutching their furs and handbags, all well-preserved in beautiful color. Now we are anxious to digitize the remaining reels and see what surprises they hold.

We have located a professional resource to help with this project for a reasonable rate. If you would like to assist in these efforts by sponsoring one or more reels with a donation of $25 or more, we will memorialize your name in the digitized versions.

To donate, please contribute to the Emergency Fund via our website, noting the donation is for the Archives Film Fund. Then send an email to Phyllis Hansen, Club Historian, at fylis@me.com, who will keep the list of the donors for each reel and see to the dedications.
