Meet Our New Members

Welcome to all our new members.  Here we meet some of them.

Ginger Conwell
Ginger found us on Google after learning her own local Ebell of Long Beach had closed.  She has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Cal Poly and in her spare time enjoys personal spiritual development and meditation, woodworking, giving service to women and women’s issues via philanthropy and political action, rowing and vintage trailer travel.

 

Liz Ryan
Liz lives in Larchmont and gained her BA at Harvard.  She worked as a reporter and photographer for Time Magazine and The New York Times, and then came to LA, working as a runner and then as First Assistant Director. Her movie credits include The Green MileAlien 3 and Waiting for Guffman and, for TV, Crazy Ex-GirlfriendThe Office and Freaks and Geeks.  She is a Board Member of the Directors Guild of America and Co-Chair of the DGA’s Women’s Committee, and is also a member of their Diversity Task Force, and in 2008 she was honored by being awarded the Guild’s Frank Capra Award.  In her spare time she loves running and yoga.

 

Breanne Metcalf
Breanne got married at The Ebell in February 2020.  She is Director of Human Resources at Hulu, having gained a BA in Political Science at Northwestern University.

Breanne loves giving back, and is an active member of Step Up Women’s Network as well as on the Board of Hulu’s Women’s Employee Resource Group.  In her free time she loves running, listening to podcasts and exploring Hancock Park.  “I am expecting a baby this spring, so I imagine my interests and hobbies will evolve to capture socializing with other moms once the current Covid situation improves.”

 

Liane Schirmer
Liane is an alumna of Marlborough School and a graduate of Georgetown University and USC, with a BA in Liberal Arts/Theater.  She is an actress and writer who works in theater, does voiceovers and commercials and is also owner of In Other Words, a media translation service.  She speaks Spanish, Italian, French and Russian and is also a proficient archivist and historian, specializing in LA history.

 

Stephanie Morehouse
Stephanie is a friend of members Anne Combs and Julie Stromberg.  She has been a Design Instructor at FIDM, a Senior Instructor at UCLA Extension, an appraiser, and is a member of the Fashion Advisory Board.
