Write Club Authors Have Their Short Stories Published

March 31, 2021

Although Helene Seifer created the Write Club at The Ebell four years ago, she never sent any of her own stories out into the world until the Pandemic hit.  First, she entered the Central Library’s short story contest last spring and was one of the winners.  And this February she dipped her toe into the publishing waters and sent out stories to three publications.  To her delight, one of her stories, Love in the Time of Childhood Savagery, was published in Flash Fiction Magazine.  Click here to read it.

Courtney Sabra Marie‘s Write Club piece, Taste of Soul, was published in the online journal Breathe.  Courtney joined a few months before the pandemic forced us into our homes.  “I think January 2020 was my first time,” she says.  “I became a Write Clubber for the fellowship and community and to express myself and grow as a writer! I’m so glad to be a part of this community.”  You can read Courtney’s short story here.

Write Club meets at 6:30 p.m. every third Tuesday of the month.  To find out more, contact Helene Seifer.
